The Fallout 4 DLC Wasteland Workshop release dates have already been and gone, but there is now a period to reflect on what to know if y...
In April, the second piece DLC for the title was introduced to fans of the series, now with a month or so of emerging details to its fame we'd like to round up some of the things you might want to know about the release.
As with many expansions initially we heard of gamers encountering issues with the rendering of textures, and buggy physics with solid objects such as building components and structure, NPC AI bugs as well as problems getting the expansion itself to show up in-game. However Bethseda has been quite responsive to bug reports and there are already workarounds for various platforms to address the last issue before fix updates are actually rolled out.
Gameplay in fallout 4 obviously varies greatly from player to player, some are builders and concentrate on settlement building, others like to clock up the points and abilities. With either preference you may get a couple of hours of extra fun to pass the time with Wasteland Workshop as a break from your normal gameplay style.
The new tools in your construction toolbox are great for building new settlement structures and turning them into Afterlife-esque zoos and making creatures and raisers fight to the death in grudge matches is one popular option we have read from many people.
There are really no stories that revolve around these new features, so those that are looking for an expansion of missions to their adventures may be disappointed, there are also no financail benefits to settlements or enhancements to character abilities to be found in this DLC so the game dynamic do not really change. However the novelty of new creations may swing opinion.
In brief Wasteland Workshop could be looked at as a way to refresh the game experience and add new imagery to the building systems, we can almost liken it to a post apocalyptic SIMs
